About Saxmundham

Saxmundham Town Council is currently developing a new website which we hope will be running in a few months time. Meanwhile this website will remain available for historical data but because of technical difficulties with the maintenance of it we have a temporary website for current papers.

This information featured on the website relies on the various groups and bodies updating us with any changes. If you wish to notify us with a change, please contact the Town Clerk.

About Saxmundham

Saxmundham is an historic market town at the centre of the Heritage Coastal region in Suffolk, England. Saxmundham, or 'Sax' as it is known locally, has many local shops and businesses, sports and leisure facilities, as well as good rail links and the A12 trunk road that put the town within easy reach of Ipswich, Norwich, London, and the whole of mainland Europe.

Visit our weekly Market every Wednesday, please click under details in Local Services

There are several major employers within 25 miles of Saxmundham including the Sizewell nuclear power stations, the telephone research laboratories at Martlesham Heath, and the ports of Felixstowe and Lowestoft.
