Saxmundham Town Council is currently developing a new website which we hope will be running in a few months time. Meanwhile this website will remain available for historical data but because of technical difficulties with the maintenance of it we have a temporary website for current papers.

The Town Clerk is Roz Barnett and
the Assistant Town Clerk is Jen Morcom.
Our Town Council meetings
are held at the Market Hall in the High Street on a monthly basis
from 7.15 on the second monday of the Month. All the public are
welcome.
Annually there is a Town
Meeting and an AGM, normally in April and May respectively.
The Chair is Jeremy Smith and the
Vice-Chair is Di Eastman. There are also a further 9 councillors.

Councillor and Richard Smith MVO is the County Councillor
The Town Council is responsible
for matters such as the local amenities and the day to day running
of the town. They are able to comment on Planning matters (although
the decision is made by East Suffolk District Council) and provide
help and assistance to local charities and other causes.
The East Suffolk District
Council manage items such as refuse collection, planning, social
