Saxmundham Primary School

Saxmundham Primary is a new building, with seven classrooms in the main school and a purpose-built nursery attached. It serves the catchment area of Saxmundham, and also the villages of Sweffling, Rendham and Bruisyard.

Children are offered a place in the nursery for two terms, immediately prior to their fifth birthday, when they transfer to the main school. Children remain in the main school until the age of nine, and then transfer to Middle School.

The school staff are experienced and caring people who work as a team to develop each child's love of learning throughout all curriculum areas. The children are valued and encouraged to reach their potential regardless of academic ability.

The Staff, Governors and Friends of Saxmundham Primary School aim to create an environment that is happy, stimulating and industrious so that children can acquire the skills and concepts that they need for the future.
