Charlotte Hawkins
I’velived in Sax for just four years and I love it: the town, its friendly people, the shops and the wonderful local produce. I chair the Council’s Resources Committee and I’m particularly interested in developing the town centre, improving the station area and making the High Street better for pedestrians.
I am a retired doctor and a very active gardener and dog walker. Since Saxmundham became my ‘forever home’ in 2014, I am keen to make a positive contribution to the wellbeing of my local community and long term development of the area. I reside at North Entrance and am a member of Saxmundham Horticultural Society, Saxcess House ‘gardening club’, the Saxons Running and Fitness club and SALT artists group as well as being a Parkrun volunteer at Sizewell beach.
I am a member of the Amenities and Services Committee, the Market Hall Management Committee, the Gannon Institute Managment Committee and the Events and Communications Committee.
