Marianne Kiff
I moved from Tollesbury in Essex to Saxmundham, near Church Hill, in July 2020.
Soon after arriving, I contacted IP17 GNS and was able to help assess the experience of service users during the pandemic.
I was made to feel welcome by the group and soon after I became involved in lots of the charity’s other activities. This has enabled me to meet local people and make new friends.
I also volunteer with Homestart Suffolk, supporting families in need.
I have 3 grown up children and 3 beautiful little grandchildren.
I have several hobbies including singing in a choir, Morris dancing and drawing
and painting. My husband and I also join in with local U3A folk sessions in Suffolk. When
time permits, we work on our garden and go to the sports centres in Leiston and
Woodbridge.
Before retirement I was a primary school deputy head and headteacher. Education
and supporting child welfare remain passions of mine.
I am very much looking forward to serving the Saxmundham community as a Town Councillor which is a new venture for me.
